Forest Row Emerson College Cafe Walk

Welcome back to Kent and Sussex Walks. Today it was raining so we drove over to Forest Row for just a short one hour walk, finishing up at a great little cafe. Forest Row is one of my favourite places, such a spiritual and counter-cultural enclave with so many positive things going on. Parking for this walk is at Emerson Cafe which was our intended finishing spot.

Unfortunately they were closing early and only serving takeaway drinks so we decided to drive into town and to Coco’s Cafe and it was a real delight. It was fairly warm today and the rain was quite light, not a total deluge so it made for a pleasant walk. There was one big puddle but no barny rubble with a good set of walking boots.

We walked past Tablehurst Biodynamic Farm where we saw some cool sheep and a load of doves too atop the dove coat. Tablehurst Farm have a cafe too but unfortunately it’s closed on Sundays so on finishing our walk we drove into town to Coco’s Cafe. Mine’s got the odds on of winning. Coco’s Cafe hit the spot. We had a great coffee each, a slice of carrot cake and a chocolate brownie too. It was really peaceful in here on a Sunday evening and was lovely to be nice and warm inside as we watched it turn to night time through the window.

So if you’d like to do this walk click the link to find the ordnance survey. See you in the next one!
