Welcome back to Kent and Sussex walks!
This page really does get us venturing to the four corners of Kent and Sussex. Today we ended up in Herstmonceux, a village we have not been before. It seems a pleasant area and it’s definitely got an abundance of cows! Some of which gladly received a loving stroke. We parked up outside Geo’s coffee House where we stopped off afterwards for a small bite to eat.
The walks starts off down a short bit of road and onto a farm track. It was another lush day and the wild blackberries are almost in fruition. We didn’t finish this walk empty handed thought as a local farm was giving away some yellow courgettes, so we liberated a few as they’ll go great with our buckwheat pasta tomorrow night.
We had one hair raising moment when our footpath appeared to be taking us into a field with this hench bull who was giving us a Paddington stare…. But luckily the official footpath has been diverted to the adjoining field so we didn’t have to muster up any bravery today.
Geo’s coffee house is a lovely spot with lots of space inside and a nice outdoor area too. We tested out a berry shake from their new protein shake menu which was delicious and ordered coffees and Paninis. The food menu here is quite limited but was tasty enough and just what we wanted today
