Goudhurst The Peacock Inn Walk

Hey guys and welcome back to Kent and Sussex walks. Today we nipped to Goudhurst for a two hour loop walk stopping off halfway at the Peacock Inn.

We parked up in a layby on a quiet back road and put our somewhat trusty walking boots on. We’ve put the postcode to this parking spot below but you could also park at the Peacock Inn and have the pub stop at the end.

This was a super walk. We began walking through some orchards and were dumbfounded to see that there were still some cherries hanging on the trees. We weren’t brave enough to test them though. We passed through one field with llamas in which was a first for us. They luckily weren’t too close however but you might want to watch out if you’ve got a dog with you. This was a seriously blustery day and we were battling hard against the elements. There is a beautiful lake you’ll pass on this walk and soon after you’ll walk up a long gradual hill before crossing a busy road and arriving at the Peacock Inn.

The Peacock Inn had cool decor with taxidermied trophy heads adorning the walls. The Peacock was amazing. We really went wild today enjoying a straight edge buzz with a brace of decaf coffees and a Biscoff biscuit on the side haha. If you did want to eat here however, the food looked good from what we saw and the menu had really attractive prices.
