Today for our walk we ended up in the little village of Newick. You’re able to park up easily and for free right by the footpath and you’ll have the pantry cafe waiting for you at the end when you finish walking. This walk was two hours long and took us through woodlands and fruit fields. There was a couple of styles with no dog gates, so bring your muscles if you’re going to take any hefty dogs on this one.
There is also one section of about five minutes walking down a road with no pavement. It was fairly quiet and straight but do take care. Now we have seen some sights walking in the UK over the years but we couldn’t believe our eyes when we stumbled across some camels in one of the fields we passed!! Bactrian camels we think, what a cool surprise! There were also some four-horned sheep on this walk, we really saw it all.
We found a rope swing and had a quick go but we had to give the calisthenics bars a miss at the park or else we’d have been there all day. The pantry cafe at the end of this walk was a real delight. It had an extensive menu and really affordable prices. We had a couple of coffees and were pleased to see coconut milk was an option. Chloe had a chicken caesar salad and Tris got the special of the day which was a focaccia with salami, red pepper and goat’s cheese.
There was also a great selection of cakes and desserts but we didn’t have any after an already overly indulgent weekend!
