Welcome back to Kent and Sussex walks! We had a complimentary Tesla for the weekend so thought we’d have a mini break away . But we are so dedicated to this page that we only went as far as boughton Monchelsea, that way we could fit another walk in, plus we’ve been wanted to try the Albion inn for ages! It’s got 4.9 stars on Google and we wanted to see what the fuss was about.
After the walk we couldn’t miss driving 2 mins down the road to St Peter’s church where you can look over the deer park and see the peacocks up close, my mum took me here as a kid so it was a trip down memory lane.
Parking is simple right by the Albion and you’ll begin with a short section of road before the footpath separates to walk peacefully alongside. This is a great short walk that would be good to do with kids, and there are no stiles to trouble you. We went through lovely woodlands and past sheep and had a nice view overlooking a huge lake as well.
The Albion Inn is a special place, it’s got a relaxed pub vibe and serves top notch food that you can tell they put a lot of time and effort into. I had the chicken roast and beetroot starter and it was excellent. We saw the desserts being brought out and they looked too good not to try. We met the owner Lesley who was so friendly and the staff all seemed so relaxed and on the welcoming too!
