Tenterden Amy’s Pantry

Welcome back to Kent and Sussex walks! This week was our 100th walk so to celebrate we headed to Tenterden where we trotted along for one hour before finishing up at the wonderful Amy’s pantry.

This was another short one as Chloe is a bit slow at this stage of the pregnancy. Street parking in Tenterden is limited to 1 hour unfortunately but on Sundays most spots are free to park and there are other Carparks available too if you’re coming on a weekday. It’s a lovely village to stroll around and there was a street market on today with great aromas filling the air.

We walked down past the steam railway and there’s a tap room there also if you fancy a snifter, but it was too cold for that today so we carried on to warm ourselves up. We saw horses and sheep along the way and walked over lots of cool foot bridges too. Be warned though, there was one stile without a dog gate.

Amy’s pantry was a great shout but there are lots of options in tenterden to stop for food or drink. We got a coffee and a cream tea to share.

The official technique of twisting the scone apart failed for us today, but you’ve always have to try the old traditions. The plates of food here looked great too so hopefully they’ll invite us back for a freebie, we can always hope.

So if you’d like to do this walk click the link to find the ordnance survey route. See you in the next one!
