Welcome back to Kenton and Sussex Walks. This weekend we were over in Beckley and our weekly walk included walking through a field with an emu as well as a great stop for food at the lovely Flackley Ash Hotel. We had the best sunny weather today and this walk takes you through lots of pretty meadows full of flowers. We even saw some beautiful wild roses. The parking for this walk is nice and simple at Bixley Wood with the postcode in the caption below.
We however were staying at a lovely Bloom Stays rental this weekend and were able to set off straight from the door of our accommodation. We passed sheep in the fields that were relaxing in the shade and we passed a lovely duck pond too. Flackley Ash Hotel was a welcome break and we stopped in for some hearty food.
Tris couldn’t resist the roast that was served with an incredible Yorkshire pudding and Chloe got the smoked salmon cream cheese sandwich which came with crisps and a side salad. Then we headed back to the Garden Room ready for our nice relaxing evening. There were lots of stars in this walk but they did have dog gates and we also walked on a main road for a small section on the way home so do be careful.
