Welcome back to Kent and Sussex walks! A short trot around Burwash was on the cards for us today, where we had been recommended The Old Orchard Cafe and Nursery by one of you guys. We are still keeping the walks short as Chloe is full term, and although a free birth in the middle of the woods could be quite spectacular, we aren’t quite brave enough for that!
We parked up at the cafe and headed up the hill along small footpaths and farm tracks. The views on this walk are really special, and we had lovely blue skies too. There were a handful of stiles on this walk, all pictured here, none were too hard and the mud on this walk wasn’t too bad either.
There was some nice yellow gorse along one section and the last bit of the walk that takes you back to the cafe is downhill which is what we like!
The orchard cafe was a really cool place, it’s done out log cabin style with loads of skiing and snowboarding paraphernalia, felt like Being back in Austria! Tris got the big old breakfast as I’d been fasting all morning and Chloe got Haloumi and poached eggs on toast, we finished it off with a great scone each! We really enjoyed our visit to the orchard cafe and we have already been back once since.
