East Hoathly Muffins Cafe Walk

Welcome back to Kent and Sussex walks! Today we shot over to East Hoathly – a small village in East Sussex, known for its epic firework display, and did a great point to point walk finishing up at Muffins cafe, before taking the bus back to the start.

Muffins cafe didn’t fail to disappoint either and it was a pleasant day so we sat outside in the sun for the first time this year! We parked up in a lay-by just off the main road, strapped the nipper onto my front and began a relatively flat and easy one hour walk into Wast Hoathly.

We walked along sections of the Wealden way through lush grass fields and must’ve gone through a horse ranch or something as we were passing lots of horses. Bodhi did well and managed to sleep for most of the walk before we had to carry him for the last 10 mins when he started screeching haha!

After settling him down we sat down to eat and both enjoyed a baked potato and a coffee each. Muffins is a quirky little place with a great atmosphere and has lots of Italian clothing and random other bits and pieces for sale inside.

The bus ride back to the car is just a 2 minute walk from the cafe and drops you off right where the car is parked! It comes every hour so make sure you time it so that you have time for the walk and the cafe stop
