Welcome back to Kent and Sussex walks! It was over to Faversham for us today where we stayed at The Sun Inn and stopped in there for lunch halfway round this incredible 2 and a quarter hour walk.
The Sun Inn is a medieval building and we stayed in an overhanging room on the first floor, really nice! We had cracking food – bulging pies, pulled pork, doorstop sandwiches, smoked trout, the lot!
As we headed into Faversham we passed a historic church where we stopped in to look around, we past a plethora of fruit farms with strawberries, walked through some corn fields, and saw Conkers and wild hops too. Two level crossings on this walk so look out!
The market in Faversham was in full swing when we arrived so we had a look around and it had some really great local and holistic stalls. The halfway stop was a nice break for us today – Bodhi and his clobber are getting a bit heavier now! We relaxed in the sun inn, eating and drinking like royalty before walking back to the car.
The way back was equally beautiful and takes you along a stretch of the river and past horses and open fields.
