Mayfield House Cafe Walk

Welcome back to Kent and Sussex walks! Today we drove to Mayfield for a little hour and a half walk starting in Mayfield village and finishing up at The House Cafe.

The walk takes you down the high street before taking you past the village hall and playing fields. We even walked past the play park where Chloe had her first kiss 20 years ago, what a trip down memory lane!

We walked through plenty of sheep fields and there was a nice section alongside a river. We stumbled upon the most perfect tree for tris to practice his monkey skills on as well! There was a bamboozling amount of chestnuts along the way, so we picked some to roast later that evening.

This walk is dog friendly with only a short section on the road and the house cafe was dog friendly too! The cafe is nice done up inside and there is even a range of antique bits and pieces for sale including some watches. We chilled out for a little while with a hot coffee and a sandwich each. This was some good quality grub!

See you in the next one,
