Welcome back to Kent and Sussex walks!
Today was a walk that we had been so looking forward too as it culminates at The Minnis Bay Bar & Brasserie, which is situated in an absolutely unreal location looking over the sea. There is rooftop seating and we chose the most lovely sunny day as well! The food and atmosphere was so good and we are already planning to come back for some sunset cocktails.
The walk turned out to be really great too! One of those walks where there was a bit of everything- we crossed a railway line where we were lucky enough to see the express. We found wild plums and apples, which turned out marvellously in our crimble crumble the following day. And there was lots of horses including some cute shetlands right on the seafront as you walk along the King Charles Coastal Path.
This walk is two hours long and relatively flat with a couple of stiles and two railway crossings to be aware of. There isn’t much shade, and as bodhi still only sleeps in the sling we had fun trying to get him to sleep and keeping him and tris cool. My portable fan came in dead handy and we managed to borrow an umbrella from the Botany Bay hotel that we were staying at for some extra shade.
Bodhi woke up just in time for the restaurant and we had a lovely meal. We got crab pate and hummus, and I couldn’t resist another roast even in this sweltering heat. The food was excellent and it’s hard to fault such an amazing venue
