Penshurst Little Brown Jug Pub Walk

Hey guys and welcome back to Kent and Sussex Walks.

We’ve always wanted to try a roast at the Little brown jug in Penshurst so today that’s just where we went. We needed a shorter walk today after a shoddy night’s sleep so this one is just an hour and a quarter. We parked up at the pub and crossed over the railway bridge to get access to the first footpath. If you wanted to you could get the train here for this walk as the start of the walk is right by Penshurst train

We saw chickens, ducks and even some caged turkeys! This walk is dog friendly with no anti-dog styles and the pub at the end is dog friendly too. This was a muddy walk at times so make sure you wear a solid pair of walking boots. Tristan’s Vivobarefoots (code BAREFOOTLIFE20 gets you 20% off!) – handled the terrain remarkably well. On returning to the car we cleaned off our boots and shot into the little brown jug for what turned out to be a real feast.

This pub was lovely, really spacious with lovely furnishings and the waitresses were awesome. We got some really nice olives as an appetizer and the roast dinner was huge especially my mixed roast and the cauliflower cheese was the piece de la resistance.
