Ringmer Grounded At The Forge Walk

This walk is epic. It starts off at a free carpark in Barcombe close to the river and is a popular spot for SUP boarders in the summer months. There is a short section of road before you arrive at the first footpath but it’s not so dangerous. This walk takes you through open fields, woodlands and we were lucky to get close up with a foal and some beautiful horses too. We passed the Cock Inn, which looks like a great pub to stop into, the food menu looks excellent. We however decided to press on and eat at Grounded at the Forge in Ringmer.

Grounded at the Forge is a popular little cafe with great outdoor seating and is nicely decorated inside too. We stayed for a scone as well as a savoury crepe and avocado toast and all of the food was delicious. Grounded at the forge in dog friendly too. This walk is 5.5 miles long and took us around 2 hours to complete. We don’t think it’d be too boggy in the winter.
