Robertsbridge George Inn Walk

Welcome back to Kent and Sussex Walks. Today we went on a lovely two-hour walk around the woodland and fields of Roberts Bridge, stopping at the George Inn for a quick refreshment at the end. We parked up on RobertsBridge High Street and set off down the back alley and into nature. Beware that you will encounter the busy A21 on this walk, so make sure you remember what the green crosscode man says before crossing.

This walk features a boggy cow field that will require some decent footwear to navigate as well as a plethora of styles. Most of the styles on this walk had a dog hole of some description but we’ve included clips of each style at the end of this video so you can decide for yourself. After attempting and failing to pet the cows we carried on and came across some blackberries. We’ve been away for most of the blackberry season this year so we’re happy to pick up a few of the remaining stragglers which we made into a delicious fruit compote later that evening. We finished up at the George Inn for a lovely fresh lime soda.

We didn’t stop in for long but the menu and restaurant looked great and the outdoor seating area was a nice touch too.

So if you’d like to do this walk just click the link to find the ordnance survey route. See you in the next one!
