Sedlescombe Blackbrooks Cafe Walk

Welcome back to Ken and Sussex Walks. Today we shot down the A21 towards Sedlescombe and parked up at this great free car park on the edge of Battle Green Woodland. We set out through the trees in search of the renowned garden centre Blackbrooks. Not for a new house plant or barbecue, just to sample their decaf coffee. After walking through the woodland you cross a little bridge and walk through a nice couple of open fields.

The path then takes you down a farm track before you arrive at the garden centre. The cafe had a great selection of hot food and cakes as well as lots of outdoor and indoor seating. We soaked up the warming sun rays in the garden of the cafe and slurped a couple of delicious hot javas. What a time to be alive! This walk was plain sailing, super flat and easy with lots of well-established gravel paths.

There wasn’t even a single style, just one kissing gate, so perfect for dogs and kids.

So if you’d like to do this walk click the OS link for the route. See you in the next one!
